How is this different from Airbnb?
You pay the host’s booking base plus a 4% platform fee. Our comparison uses a conservative 14% Airbnb guest-fee estimate. Hosts keep about 96% of every direct booking.
Am I protected?
Each listing shows the City business licence number supplied by the host. Booking requests and payment links also create a written email record.
When am I charged?
You submit a request first with no charge. After the host approves the dates, you receive a secure link to pay a 25% deposit.
Why request-to-book instead of instant book?
Hosts often use more than one calendar. They confirm the dates first to avoid double-booking, so response time depends on availability confirmation.
What does the platform charge?
A 4% platform fee is added to the host’s booking base and shown in the quote before you send the request.
Can I bring my pet?
Each listing says whether pets are welcome. If they are, disclose the pet in the request and the listing’s flat pet fee is added to the quote.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are set per listing. Check the host’s rules and ask any questions before paying the deposit.
Can Calgary hosts list here?
Yes. Hosts can create an account, add a listing, and take direct booking requests.
